Negotiation /conversation with the architect re features of the proposed crematorium in Pangasinan

The area on which the the project will be located is part of a bigger project without tech description.  But we can provide you with the tct number

I shall forward you just the dimensions of body freezer and grinder.

The grinder will be the first priority.

    100 sm  50% for customer area, 50% for crematorium

     Customer area:

     with ramp for PWD, with 1 .5  to  2 meters porch with box type railings; 0.5 plant box around,, say 0.5 chb base for glass panels for front, 1/2 only for the sise to enable display of urns, with unisex CR, ceiling would be 2.to 2.5 only, capable of being cooled by a  1 tonne split type of stand alone aircon.   can accommodate 20 to 30 customers;   with shades/or canopy in front to protect customers from heat;   

     ceiling could be decorated with pin and LED lgiht, and have some 2.x 6 inch wood decor;

     toilet is hotel standard;   flooring should be non slip dark/earth color

   Cremation area:

   50 sm:

   Can accommodate 2 crematorium, the slab should be strong and thick enough to bear a 30 ton crematorium;  the space at the front should be able to accommodate the maneuvering of 2m + stretcher/  the wall at the left should have:

 2 x 2 louvre;  and space for an industrial fan ( 1 x 1 sm)

ceiling is four meters open type with structural visible but with insulation;for the roof, if feasble as hot air rises, the roof should have revolving motorless exhaust, or a chimney vent

right side wall should have;

door with filshutter:

      high  and wide enough enough to accommodate entry of 2nd crematorium whose specs should be sent later 

     width:   1.74 meters,  length  2.44 meters, height :    4.33 meters

    Outside would be fuel tank good for 100 liters with 1 inch GI pipe running from outside through the wall to the crematorium

THE CREMATORIUM design must withstand the extreme heat generated by the crematorium, about 1000 degrees Fahrenheit max, vent this out, and must not be felt in the customer area.  There should be enough clearance between the crematorium and the wall

Between the crematorium and  and customer area:

     1.   An industrial door (steel type)   1 meter wide, swing type;, with  1 x 1 foot window

     2. 6 inch CHB wall with mortar


4.  Price -  finalize when you talk to your partner engineer tomorrow;

   But I suggested:   30t without signature;  40t with signature.  You said you preferred the one with signature.

5.  Timeline:   14 calendar days.

Here are my other notes for the previous planner who says he cant keep up:


1.  I sent a very rough sketch of the site development plan that will cover the frontage and the back:   front drive way  (3 to 5 meters) and garden, back ash crypt plaza and garden and pathwalk to the left for the garden with landscaping and park bench, to the right, a drive way. (2 to 3 meters)   At the right side would be a drive way for hearse and vehicles who will deliver the casket and or the body to the crematorium

2.  The architecture/perspective must match or be a mirror image of the chapel at the other side.

3.  The wall at the front  and quarter is preferred to be glass so that the view from the outside merges with the inside.  Also, the front and side at the side near the gate would be a place for the display of urns (the left side) so that the passers by at the pathway can see the urn.

4.  At the customers area:

      1.  There is only one main door for the entrance for the customer area.  There is no reception or viewing area.  The area near the door (which should at center say 2 meter metal/industrial door double swing with glass peep) could be the viewing area.  (Or they could view it inside the crematorium room)

     2.   The only enclosed space will be cr (unisex) say 1 x2 and the kitchenette say 4 x 2 meters faucet, sink table tops and cabinet)  The provision for office could be just table and chair for the one in charge. of the crematorium

    3.  The customer area is low ceilinged say 2 meters and the customer area vs crematorium are insulated (especially the ceiling) .  The customer area shall be provided with floor type air con.

5.  At the crematorium:

     1.  It should be high ceilenged.  say 4 to 5 meters.  Industrial construction, no ceiling but reflextix insulation at the roof, open structure at the roof, with louver panel and provision for industrial fan.  The chimney of the crematorium (mga 5 meters high) should protrude from the roof.

    2.  The customers area opens to the front with a 2 meter metal door., It opens to the side driveway (at the right side) with a 3 to 4 meters industrial door.  The door should be wide enough to accept the delivery of a 2nd crematorium

   3.  Other equipment the crematorium area:

       1.  Space near the customer area for prep and viewing

       2.  Grinding machine (say 0.5 x 0.5 meters

       3.  Body freezer (later on)   2 meters x 8 per module

      4.  Casket stack   -    1  meter x 2 meters  (4 levels)

The shape of  the crematorium should be rectangular (pahaba) The area may be increased to 120 m2 if there are constraints with the above requirements

Customers area should be 60 to 65% of the total area (or subject to the cooling power of available air con.
